To be asked to remix Flies on You was an offer I couldn’t refuse. I’ve never done a remix before and fancied the challenge. I was already a big fan of the band which helped!
I wanted to use as much as possible from the original recordings and avoid using synths as I wanted to try to keep it ‘earthy’ sounding. Doug’s vocals were quite tricky. I had them loud in my headphones. I chopped them, tuned them up a bit and ended up with just a little snatch of them. Same happened with the guitars. I hope they don’t mind.
